Getting Started Silver Gate has an excellent daily morning regimen! Students can start their day off with a healthy breakfast for purchase and is served at 7:35AM. At 7:45am students can join in with the "Road Runners" for a morning jog around the field, kids track how many miles they have run and receive a special award! All other students may arrive to school starting 7:45 AM when supervision begins on the blacktop. Children in all grades line up in their designated class area on the blacktop. All classes begin at 8:00AM. Each Monday morning at 8:00am all students meet on the black top for a school wide assembly where Principal Sandy McClure makes important announcements and gives the children a pep talk to help make their school week successful! Parents are welcome to attend! Please make sure your child is on time, tardy students disrupt the classroom and the students miss important instruction. If your child is late, they must go to the office to obtain a tardy slip before going to class. If your child will be absent, please call the office before 8:30 AM at 619-223-3035. If you child is absent please call the attendance hotline by 8:30am at 619-223-3035. School office hours are 6:45am-3:15pm. Morning Recess
Lunch and Recess Lunch and recess periods are from 11:50am-12:40pm. Students may bring a lunch or purchase one in the cafeteria. Lunches and milk may be paid for singularly or prepaid in quantity in the cafeteria before school. If a child forgets lunch, he/she may obtain a cafeteria voucher from the office. Dismissal Time 2:10pm Thursday Dismissal 12:25p School Visitors We welcome visitors however, you must first go to the school office and sign in for a visitors pass. |
